Description
An external automatic defibrillator (AED) is a compact, transportable device that can help return the heart back to it’s normal rhythm after a victim has suffered a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). Scanning the heart’s rhythm when someone suffers a SCA, an AED delivers the correct level of shock in order to help the heart restore itself back to it’s original pace.
Operating on batteries only, Phillips Heartstart defibrillators come with a battery that has an impressive warranty however, it is always recommended to have an additional fully charged battery as a spare, so that should the worst happen - you are always prepared.
This Phillips replacement battery has a four year battery for a range of the FRx, OnSite, and HS1 AED models as well as a four year warranty and a 200+ shock capacity just as the original battery pack does.
Having an AED nearby means that should someone suffer a SCA, anyone that is nearby can give life saving care by using a defibrillator. If the battery has ran out however, an AED is pointless and cannot deliver a shock. Having this Phillips Heartstart battery as a back-up means that this will never be the case.
